The vision of
NDUTIME Youth & Family Services, Inc.
was birthed out of the faith, commitment and heart of Dr.
Ellis O. and Teshana D. Henderson and their desire to
improve the lives of youth and their families. They are the
proud parents of Ellis II, Emani, Eniya, Kierria.

Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Henderson
was born and reared in Lexington, Virginia. He graduated from Valley
Forge Military Junior College (Wayne, PA) in 1988 with an Associate
Degree in Liberal Arts/Business Administration. He received his
Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication and minor in Criminal
Justice from Old Dominion University (Norfolk, VA) in 1990. Dr.
Henderson later obtained a Masters in Divinity degree from the
Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union
University (Richmond, VA) in 1999; and received his Doctorate of
Education with a concentration in Child, Youth, & Family Studies
from Nova Southeastern University (North Miami Beach Lauderdale,
FL). The title of his dissertation was "Academic Motivation of
African American males in United States History".
Dr. Henderson is an ordained minister and has over twenty
years experience working with at-risk youth populations in the Boys
and Girls Club, juvenile detention centers, nonprofit youth centered
community organizations, and public school systems. He has served as
a middle school History teacher, youth program administrator, youth
counselor, Chaplin at a juvenile detention center, and managed an
abstinence-based counseling program for middle school aged males for
the Concerned Black Men of Richmond, VA, Inc.
Currently, he serves as an adjunct professor of Religion and Ethics
at Strayer University-Online, as well as a Consultant and Counselor
to various individuals, community organizations, and churches
regarding youth development.
Dr. Henderson
is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and my wife
is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Teshana D. Henderson, MSW, LCSW

Mrs. Henderson
was born and reared in Los Angeles, California. In 1997, she
graduated from Tuskegee University (Tuskegee, AL) with a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Social Work. She then matriculated to Virginia
Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA) and earned a Master of Social
Work - Clinical Practice degree in 1998. After providing individual,
group, and family counseling, intensive outreach, and case
management services to a varied population, she went on to become a
Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Through her work in a residential
treatment facility, psychiatric hospital, community-based agency,
and school setting, she obtained extensive knowledge and skills in
the areas of adolescent, adult, and family treatment and services.
Several modalities utilized in these settings included: brief
therapy, crisis, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused
interventions.
Mrs. Henderson's academic and professional background
combined with her life experiences gives her insight into dealing
with behaviorally and emotionally disturbed youth and their
families.
